Let the Countdown Begin!

Small Business Saturday® is November 27, 2021. That means it’s time to generate lots of buzz through your social channels. We have signed up to be a Shop Small Neighborhood Champion and will do our best to support you in your efforts to promote Small Business Saturday. Over the next five days, we will share suggestions for you to engage your customers. As you are promoting your business, don't forget to use the hashtags #ShopSmall, #SmallBizSat, and one of our personal favorites, #DestinationNorthHampton. Of course we'd love it if you could also tag @North Hampton Business Association so we can help in your efforts. We will also find ways to encourage our local community to shop small and support our local businesses through our own social media as well as community Facebook groups such as Destination North Hampton. Let's go SHOP SMALL this season!

Small Business Saturday
Day 1, Monday - Share Your Story
Kick off the week by letting customers know that Small Business Saturday® is only five days away. Encourage them to support local businesses by sharing your own inspiring story and what makes your business unique. How did your business come about? Why are you still passionate about it today? Give them one more reason to feel good about shopping small.

Day 2, Tuesday - Spotlight an Employee
Make the shopping experience more personal by sharing a friendly face. Post a picture of an employee who'll be there to meet, greet, and provide the customer service small businesses are known for. Have that employee share in their own words what makes their job special and what inspires them to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Day 3, Wednesday - Make a Community Connection
Small businesses have a special place in the community. They help provide jobs to support the local economy and build a shared local identity. When small businesses thrive, it helps the community thrive. Let customers know you're proud of your role as a small business owner. Celebrate camaraderie and acknowledge neighboring merchants by tagging them in your social post.

Day 4, Thursday - Promote safe shopping options
This holiday season may look a little different, so let customers know about any measures your business or community is taking to inspire safe shopping. Promote how shoppers can support your business on Small Business Saturday® through online ordering, curbside pickup, or other options. And take pride in knowing that you're helping your customers have a safe, convenient shopping experience.

Day 5, Friday - Highlight a service, product, or special offering for the holidays
Let your customers know about anything special you'll be offering on Small Business Saturday® or throughout the holiday season. By sharing it on social, you're giving your followers another reason to support your business. You can even share a photo of a best-selling item and ask them to tag a friend who'll love it. Most of all, have a great Small Business Saturday!
